Seed Phrase
12 or 24 words that are the only backup of a crypto wallet — keep them offline.
A seed phrase (or mnemonic phrase) is a sequence of 12 or 24 random words generated when creating a crypto wallet. These words are the mathematical equivalent of the private key and grant full access to all funds in the wallet.
Rules for keeping a seed phrase:
•Write it on paper (not digitally)
•Store in a safe, dry place
•Make multiple copies in different locations
•Never photograph, type into apps, or send by email
•Never share with anyone
If you lose the seed phrase and the device with the wallet, the funds are lost forever. No one, not even Binance, can restore access.
