Floor Price
Lowest price at which an NFT from a collection can be bought on marketplace.
Floor price is the lowest price at which an NFT from a specific collection is currently listed for sale — essentially the "entry price" to enter an NFT collection.
Why floor price matters:
•Value benchmark — "Bored Ape floor is 20 ETH" = minimum entry price
•Liquidity indicator — higher floor + higher volume = healthier collection
•Portfolio value — holders estimate portfolio by floor price
Floor price dynamics:
•Marketplaces sort NFTs by price → cheapest is floor
•"Sweeping the floor" — buying multiple NFTs at floor price
•Floor collapse — panic fall in floor, holders sell below market value
Related terms:
•Ceiling price — most expensive NFT in collection
•1/1 (one of one) — unique NFT, independently valued
•Rarity floor — floor for specific rarity tier
Tools:
•NFTGo.io — floor tracking and analytics
•OpenSea activity tab
•Blur.io rankings
Floor price investment trap:
•Floor can fall to 0 if collection loses community
•"Blue chip" NFT collections are more stable: BAYC, CryptoPunks
